Shureka Nyawalo, Ph.D.
Dr. Shureka Nyawalo is an Associate Professor Educator at the University of Cincinnati Clifton (uptown) campus. Her research and scholarly interests include French phonology, second/foreign language teaching and learning, and teaching in higher education contexts. At the University of Cincinnati, she teaches a full range of courses in French, from beginning level to MA level. She was the coordinator of the Basic French program from 2019-2025. In that role, she oversaw the 1000- and 2000-level courses in the French program. She has also organized the summer language immersion program in Bordeaux, France, at the DEFLE (Département d’Études de Français Langue Étrangère).
